Puchi Melon: Bite-Sized Tastes of Life in Japan

a ticket is a ticket!

28.7.13

After some confusion first about how to request a ticket, then about what convenience store does ticket pia transactions, I have a ticket for the play Ikuta Toma is going to be in this fall! I have a ticket for one of the Osaka showings, unfortunately I have row U, the 2nd row from the back on the 1st floor but I was too cheap to put in for a S ticket (costs 2,000 yen more) so I guess that's what I get. Better than nothing! And I have binoculars just for this purpose.

Though it will be hard to try to make him fall in love with me from the stage that far away from it.... I'll have to devise another method...

Exciting games for consoles I don't own

29.3.13

Oh my god you guys.
A new Tomodachi Collection comes out next month!!

THEY BREED. And do so many... THINGS.

There can be love triangles! And hats! And the children actually grow up!

It's for the 3DS... which means that I now have two games I want that I can only play if I buy a 3DS, this and the new Animal Crossing....

I wonder how much a used 3DS is...

Off to market

16.3.13

I actually wanted to have a new kimono-based blog with an AWESOME name before making a post like this one, but unfortunately all the awesome names I've thought of are all already taken.... or aren't awesome at all...

Anyway, so I'm participating in Round 2 of the Traveling Kimono! Yahoo!!

The kimono is safely in my hands and I'm headed to the craft store tonight to get materials to make some accessories (han-eri, obi-age, and maybe tabi if I can swing it)!

While my creative juices won't flow for making a blog, at least I can put them to work for the coordinate!

Never Again.

2.11.12

I might be making a reference to something I don't want to make a reference to with that title... Just know that it was unintentional.

I called to verify that I actually paid for my ticket for the ABC live in December. I paid for it! Yay! I'm looking forward to seeing if I can actually buy any live goods that don't say "erect" on them...

I still have some latent angst about the Halloween live, but I'll just have to try again next year...

In the meantime Buck-Tick Saturday! And I think I have learned my lesson that Bunka no Hi is pretty much guaranteed to not be a day off where I work now. Oops. I'll avoid scheduling lives then in the future. While there are times I like having a weekday off, it really is a huge pain to not have two days off in a row ever. Sometimes with a holiday I can get one, but not all holidays are actually take off-able at my job. @_@

Phantom payments...

20.10.12

As you can see from my post on the 17th, I BELIEVED I was going to the Halloween Live... but for some reason my ticket hasn't come. I'm supposed to call if it doesn't come one week before the live, I have tomorrow before I have to make a call on Monday. Does mail come on Sundays in Japan? I think it does, but I don't pay much attention...

Given that the post in question was after the payment deadline, and I have some vague memory of probably paying it... I think I should be getting a ticket... When I poked around for the receipt it didn't come out of hiding right away, though, so I'm a bit worried that I might have just imagined the whole thing. @_@ I don't want to look for it if I don't have to, but if I call and they tell me I didn't pay for it I'll have to tear apart my room to find it.

I must say, Buck-Tick is much more punctual.

... assuming I actually paid for my ticket...

UPDATE
Turns out I'm crazy. Which sucks, sucks real bad. I loved the live last year, I guess I'll just have to look forward to going next year... B-T shouldn't be touring then, and I'll do my best to leave open those last two weekends in October. Maybe try going twice to make up for me being so excruciatingly stupid/insane this time around...

Dammit.
